Akira Sileas is an electronic music performer from the south of England who uses modular instruments and coding to create ambient, noise, and occasionally techno-influenced shows.

Ambit, My Name is Ben Francis, I’m an electronic musician from London, now living in West Sussex. I have been writing and performing music since 2008 and have been taking music more seriously since 2019. I am an multi instrumentalist but like to perform around an modular based system. Including found sound and live Piano loops. I have music out on Artema Recording, Church of the Noisey Goat and Muvement records. My biggest achievement is playing at the Concorde 2 in Brighton. I founded South Downs Records in 2022 to promote other electronic musicians and like to put out my more commercial works under Komatsurecords.

“Seven Aphid is my outlet of musical oddities and experiments. Inspired by the vast experimentation within electronica that took place during the 90’s (as well as the progressive rock scene of the 70s), seeing countless new genres emerge and cross with one another, I aim to move it forward once again – weaving together the worlds of electronic and acoustic music to create something fresh. The improvised manner in which I create most of my pieces – jamming them out on hardware synthesisers and rhythm machines – I find is hugely rewarding, as it results in many happy accidents and unexpected progressions.” 🙂
