Billy Campbell opens The Wake djing from noon until 1:15pm on the Meadow Stage.
Billy Campbell started working in record shops in Guildford as a nineteen year old. He moved to London and took over managing the Beggars Banquet Shop in Putney also working as an A&R scout for XL Recordings and then 679 Recordings.
He Joined Rough Trade in Portobello for five years releasing records on the in-house For-Us label by acts such as Adem, Half Cousin, The Hokum Clones, Daniel Johnston, Klang, The Roger Sisters and many more as well as promoting the Rough Nites putting on the first shows from Franz Ferdinand and The Fiery Furnaces amongst others.
He started Names Records releasing albums by The Earlies, King Creosote, Alela Diane and Caitlin Rose and also has a publishing division ..looking after Hollow Hand ,Spencer Cullum and Jeremy Fetzer.
